Let’s travel together.

Killing Some Time On Your Stopover In Bangkok

Bangkok is a regional transport hub, so you can often have a layover there when travelling to other destinations such as Australia or Hong Kong. You find that you can get cheaper flights if you do not mind a layover, so it can be financially beneficial if you opt for this, and there are many ways that you can kill some time between your flights. Below are a few of your available options if you pass immigration and want to get out of the airport for a few hours.

Freshen Up In A Hotel

There are several options available of Suvarnabhumi airport hotels with a restaurant and other facilities that you can use to freshen up during your layover. Many airport hotels even have deals for their facilities for half a day, so you can check-in, grab a shower, have a rest, or go to the restaurant or bar, and relax before continuing with your journey.

A Spot Of Shopping

Within proximity to the airport, there are several shopping malls that you can visit and spend a few hours before you must leave. You can have a wander around the air-conditioned building and enjoy the shopping or grab some food at one of the many restaurants. Some of the shopping malls are huge, so you can easily spend a few hours walking around them and still not see everything that is on offer.

Watch A Movie

If you slept on the flight to Bangkok and did not take advantage of the inflight entertainment, you can always watch a film at one of the cinemas that are close to the airport. Most cinemas are in the shopping malls so you can kill two birds with one stone and do some shopping as well, or even grab a bite to eat.

Enjoy A Traditional Thai Massage

Massage is an intrinsic part of life in Thailand, and you can get a quality massage just about anywhere you go throughout the country. It is also an excellent way to work out the kinks and knots in your muscles after being cooped up in an airplane for hours on end. You do not have to travel very far from the airport to get a massage, and most hotels will offer this service, and there are also facilities in the airport itself.

These are a few of the options that are available to you, but there are plenty more as well. The Trip Advisor website has plenty of ideas of things to do and see when you have a long layover in Bangkok, then can help you plan your time and make the most of your stay, however short or long it may be.
